Cheese Straws

8 tbsp Butter
1/2 lb Bleu cheese (or sharp Cheddar)
2 C Flour
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

Cayenne pepper to taste (if desired – about 1/2 teaspoon)

Blend all ingredients thoroughly in a food processor. Roll the dough out to 1/2 -inch thickness and cut into individual strips, which can be twisted if desired.

Note: The “straws” can also be made with a cookie press.

Place straws on 1 or 2 ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 300 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes, until the straws are crisp and lightly browned. Remove from oven and allow to cool.
