Fruited Cream Cheese

16 oz Nonfat cream cheese, softened
2 tbsp Firmly packed light brown sugar
1/2 tsp Almond extract
2 tbsp Slivered almonds
2 tbsp Chopped dried apricots
2 tbsp Chopped pitted dates
2 tsp raisins,dark
1/2 tsp Ground cinnamon

2 med Apple, cored and sliced
2 dozen Crackers, fat free

In a blender or food processor fitted with the metal blade, combine cream cheese, brown sugar, and almond extract. Process until smooth. In a small bowl, combine almonds, apricots, dates, raisins, and cinnamon. Mix well. Add chopped fruit mixture to cream cheese mixture. Process until just combined. Place cream cheese mixture in a small serving bowl. Place bowl on a serving platter. Arrange sliced apples and crackers around bowl. Serve immediately.

Per Serving: 104 calories

NOTES: Variation: for a pretty presentation, sprinkle chopped dried apricots, choppped pitted dates, and slivered almonds over cream cheese mixture before serving.

Cooking Tips: For a citrusy spread, add chunks of grapefruit, orange, or lemon to cream cheese mixture. Remove membranes from fruit and pat before using.
