Crockery Pot Barbecued Beef and Beans

This recipe will warm them up, as well as fill them up on a cold winter evening. Not only is this inexpensive to make, but it’s EASY and because you make it in the Crockery Pot, it won’t take a lot of time.

2 lb. beef stew meat-cut into 1 inch cubes (chuck roast, top or bottom round work well too)
salt and pepper to taste
1 c. smoke-flavored barbecue sauce (any brand)

1 c. beef bouillon (dissolve one cube in 1 cup water) or use 1 cup of beef broth
1 lb. small white beans (Great Northern or cannelli beans) (canned or frozen, thawed and/or drained)

Sprinkle beef with salt and pepper. Place in Crockery Pot with barbecue sauce and bouillon. Cover and cook on LOW setting for 6-8 hours, until beef is tender. Add drained beans and cook on high 15-20 minutes for canned beans, 20-30 minutes for thawed, frozen beans.

Yield: 6-8 servings
