Crockery Pot Fish Stew

At least one member of the family always brings this to family gatherings.

3 lg. red snapper or flounder fillets (11/4 to 11/2 lbs.) cut into 2″ pieces
2 tbsp. olive oil or melted butter
1 clove garlic, minced
1 lg. onion, sliced
1 green pepper, cut in 1″ pieces
1 zucchini squash, unpeeled and sliced
1 can whole tomatoes (15 oz.)
1/2 tsp. leaf basil

1/2 tsp. leaf oregano
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/4 c. dry white wine
1/2 c. fresh mushrooms (up to 3/4 cup)

Combine all ingredients in Crockery Pot. Stir gently, but thoroughly. Cover and cook on high for 4 – 6 hours. Makes about 3 quarts or 6 servings.
