Spanish Rice

11/2 c. long grain rice, raw
1/2 c. olive oil, butter or margarine
11/2 c. tomato juice
11/2 c. water
1 onion, chopped

1 green pepper, chopped
11/2 tsp. salt
1 lb. hamburger or sausage, fried and drained

Sauté raw rice in oil until golden brown. Place in Crockery Pot with all remaining ingredients. Stir well. Cover and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours (high 2 – 3 hours). Serve.
