Almond Coated Tuna

1 1/2 lbs Tuna Steaks
1 c. Buttermilk
3/4 c. toasted almonds (ground)
3/4 c. finely crushed cracker or bread crumbs
1 tbsp. finely grated lemon rind
salt & pepper

Rinse tuna steaks with cold water; pat dry with paper towels.

Soak Tuna in buttermilk for 15 minutes.
Mix together almonds, crumbs, salt & pepper and lemon peel
Drain buttermilk from tuna.
Dredge tuna in coating mixture. Place on greased baking sheet.
Bake at 425 degrees F. for 6-8 minutes being careful not to overcook.
You can serve this with a fruit relish, cranberry sauce or another sweet relish
