Texas Hash

Serves 4

1 lb. Ground Beef
1 med. Onion, chopped
1 med. Green Pepper, chopped
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 lb. can tomatoes
3/4 c. water
1/3 c. rice

2 tsp. Chili Powder
1 tsp. Salt
1/2 tsp. Cumin Powder
1/4 tsp. Crushed Red Pepper

In large, heavy skillet and over medium heat, brown the beef. Stir to break up. Remove with slotted spoon.
Sauté the onion, green pepper and garlic in the drippings.
Add all remaining ingredients.
Cover and simmer 15 minutes or until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed.
